Paul Mampilly has been in the finance industry for long. The first job that he worked at in Wall Street was at Bankers Trust being an assistant portfolio manager. Later he joined the Deutsche Bank and ING where he was responsible for taking care of billion dollars. In 2006, Paul got employment at the Kinetics Asset Management where he was responsible for managing the hedge fund. Through his hard work, the assets of the company rose from $6 billion to $25 billion. Barrons even recognized the success as it was referred to as “World’s Best” Hedge fund. When the financial crisis was taking place in 2008, Paul was invited to take part in the Templeton Foundation.
Through the starting capital of $50 billion, he had managed to accumulate it to become $88billion in a year. It was such a significant accomplishment since it took place when the economy was not stable. However, despite all the success that Paul Mampilly has received in Wall Street he was not happy personally. His work involved helping the 1% get more prosperous, but he was neglecting the 99%. Paul decided that it was time to change things around; he obtained employment at Banyan Hill Publishing as the senior editor.
During the Total Wealth Symposium, he was among the main speakers at the event. The program is all about bringing together the successful investors all the world. They involve people like those that wasn’t to increase the profits and get more out of the investments. During the event, Paul Mampilly talked about the effect people were facing due to cyber-theft. He said that somehow it’s getting impossible to block the hackers. However, he showed them tricks that they would use to protect their data from hackers. The topic was so important because many were victims were of hacking.
